“Was it my first time solo hiking? I think it was. All I remember was I needed an escape. The heartbreak was too much. And it was early summer. Perfect to see azaleas blooming all over mount hallasan. The trail that seemed endless felt like nothing as soon as I saw the vast field of purple laid in front of my eyes. Suddenly, the weight has been lifted off my chest. This series of hallasan is my keepsake from the healing trip I took a while back. A shade of purple, burgundy, and deep blue that I play on repeat in my head whenever life gets hard.”
